Good news!
Last week I signed and sealed a record deal with CoraZong records. The album will,
in traditional style, be eponymous, i.e. be called "Signe Tollefsen". We are aiming for it to be out in September. More news about specific dates and, of course, the launch party,
will be posted here later.

28 March 2008 Back from the USA
After spending two months in Los Angeles, I'm back! In L.A. I recorded three songs with two different producers, two of which, "Where you been" and "You, me & the Brewers", you can already have a listen to on the music page.

26 November 2007 Album almost finished We are more than halfway done! Four songs are finished completely, the others need a little bit more work but not much, and so the end is very definitely in sight! I know we are taking our time and letting you wait so long, but I assure you it will have been worth it. Taking our time has proved to work in our advantage, giving us room to change, add, think, and let things come on our path we hadn't expected.
But we have set a deadline for the cd to be finished on or before December 31st. Which means you should be able to buy a cd early 2008!

17 August 2007 Jolene I was called by 6pack tv, asking if I would be interested in their "changing the world" project. The idea was to change a depressing song into a happy one. This I did. The result was the song Jolene by Dolly Parton. In my version the beautiful golden-locked Jolene is not the girl wanting to steal my man, but my lover. Listen on www.6pack.tv or on the music page. Thanks to Erik Spanjers (who is also recording my album) on drums and Axel van Oort on bass.
1 August 2007 About halfway
Most of the songs have now been made very exciting with the addition of fiddle, mandolin, banjo, accordeon, harmonium, drums and backing vocals! In September we will record the remaining three songs... These summer months have been a spanner in the works because everyone was away on holidays (while us poor people had to stay home in the rain waiting for a suitable beach day. Which never came).
9 May 2007 Nine down, three to go
Today was the final day of recording. I cannot sing one more note, I am so tired of hearing my own songs and doing lines over and over again.
But we did good and hard work. We're happy campers.
We'll be going back in at the end of May/early June to finish.

6 May 2007 Cold
Tuesday we are supposed to be starting recording the album (title not known yet) at ScoreMusic Productions but I have a cold... I have been neurotically careful; going
to bed early, eating well, not dressing too optimistically summery and I even quit smoking. Yes, you heard right. And then a week before recording I get a damn cold.
We'll see how it goes, and at least start recording instrumental songs (like "Worn
out").

Signe wins Audience and Best Musician Prize Yesterday I won two prizes in Holland's largest music competition, the Grolsch Grote Prijs van Nederland! The audience prize is thanks to all of you who voted for me... so THANK YOU!!!
And I am so proud of the Best Musician Prize!
I didn't know singers, or even contestants could win the prize. So there you go, very happy!!
Thanks also to all who came to support and shout for me at the show . My undying love!
And also a big thank you
to the waiter at the restaurant who loved my music and played
it while we were eating :-) That was something...

10 Sept. 2006 Grolsch Grote Prijs van Nederland
Sunday September 10th, Signe was the winner of the semi-finals for the Grolsch Grote Prijs van Nederland. Three of the six semi-finalists went through to the sencond round, and one (Signe!) went straight to the finals.
Thanks to all who voted!
The finals are taking place Saturday, December 9th, at the Melkweg, Amsterdam.
5 Sept. 2006 Popronde Signe has been selected for the "travelling festival" Popronde. She will be playing several cities these coming months, including Breda, Maastricht, Leiden, Groningen, Arnhem, Nijmegen and Enschede. Details under "gigs"!
